Theres a couple of functional issues: 1. both dustcover hinges are broken exactly the same (visible in last photo) so the cover doesnt stay up; 2. the cueing mechanism makes a mechanical noise while the arm is going up or down but the tonearm is otherwise silent- may just need lubrication. Also, the stylus drop-down point may need a slight adjustment inward- some LPs work fine, with others the stylus slides off the LP edge. Manual (not included but available on vinylengine.com for free) shows how to do it- the original key is missing but a screwdriver can be used (the adjustment is under the removable rubber button next to the tonearm pillar and anti-skating adjustment). Up for sale is the vintage Sony PS-X555ES Direct Drive Biotracer Quartz Linear Turntable. It is in good working condition and includes the Audio Technica ATN-120Ea cartridge and the 45 rpm adapter. The included headshell is NOT ORIGINAL. Dust cover is damaged and requires repair. Cosmetically in very good condition with a mostly clean plinth. There is a scratch on the right side above the front foot (pic #9) . Also, there is some white dots on the plinth above the space between START/STOP and right transport buttons (Pcs #2 and #7). The two plastic slots on the dust cover that the metal tabs slip into are broken (Pics #13-15), rendering the dust cover incapable of staying open and will require repair.
