Sony MXD-D3 Minidisc and CD player. Both CD and minidisc functionality has been tested and works as of writing. I have only used analog output, not digital. Audio cables not included. Built in power cord included. Because I am personally familiar with the damage that vintage electronics can receive during shipping, I will be packaging this exceptionally well. Hence the high shipping cost. If its worth it to you to pay a premium for shipping to have the best chance of your item arriving safely, then youve come to the right seller. Pictured minidisc is also included and recording audio from CD works. Minidisc will not be shipped inside into the player. Unit has the usual cosmetic wear and tear for electronics of this age. It has minor dings and scratches from being well used, but considering that it is about 25 years old its in remarkably good shape cosmetically. Unit was manufactured in 1999. PLEASE SEE LISTING PHOTOS for any cosmetic imperfections. Because eBay offers absolutely no protections for its sellers, let me make it clear that I do not accept returns. Overall this unit seems to be quite functional. Im sure it would benefit from a new belt and lubrication of the gears, but as of writing it works as expected.

USPS Messed this up during shipping and now it will not turn on. It makes a clicking noise when you plug it in but then nothing??? Maybe an easy fix not sure. Sucks they don’t handle packages better than they do. You will be purchasing this for parts only ! Make me an offer thanks also there’s various damage caused by usps see pics !

The MiniDisc mechanism in this deck is of a construction that does not use a rubber belt for load/eject (common problem with other MD decks). However, the CD tray uses a rubber belt. It works perfectly well today, but a replacement belt is included if it would be necessary to change it in the future (see images and video). * The MD section is fully working for recording and payback. Write head, and laser lens are recently cleaned (cleaning disc with Isopropyl alcohol). ATRAC version 4.5 in the official listings for this model, but it is actually the ATRAC Type R chip in this deck which indicates manufacture late in the production period. Type R produces the best sound quality that MD was capable of (before HiMD was launched).* The CD section is fully working, and this deck also supports CD-TEXT (see video for example) and dubbing to MD in normal speed or high speed.* Carefully wrapped and packaged. * Shipping to Sweden (domestic) or to countries in EU. Sony MXD-D3 Compact Disc Mini Disc Deck. Deck works erratically and needs service/repair or update. CD deck opens and closes when unit is turned ON and OFF. When pressing the open/close button, the display shows OPEN/CLOSE but there is no deck movement. When loading a CD it does not appear to read. MiniDisc load and read discs. Eject works but usually takes two or three button presses. Overall good condition. The display is clear and bright.
