The device is clean and as far as I can tell is very functional. Through my testing, here is what I found: -- The speaker connections work. I connected various speakers to each connection and got sound. -- The radio tuner works quite well. No extra antenna included, but the small antenna on the back picked up all the high-power FM stations in my area. -- The bass, treble, balance, etc all seem to function well -- The pots are dirty and need to be cleaned. Especially the volume pot. If I took it apart to do it myself, I would never be able to get it back in one piece...that is definitely a job for someone who is mechanically inclined and enjoys that type of thing. -- I did not plug in any aux devices such as phono or tape player. -- All of the display lights are very brilliant. -- One thing I did notice--when playing the radio, the peak power level lights only come on for the right channel and not the left channel...even when fm stereo is engaged. Does the radio only go through the right channel? It sounds good going through both speakers, so Im not sure why the left channel lights dont come on. -- This seems like a great device that just needs a little TLC from am expert.
