UNIT WORKS GOOD, OTHER THAN THE METER STICKS SOMETIMES, BUT HAS HAD THAT OLD FILTER CAPACITOR REPLACED WITH INDIVIDUAL CAPS, AND SOMEONE ALSO RESTRUNG THE DIAL CORD WITH A NEW ONE, AND IT TROTS RIGHT ALONG, NO SLIPPAGE AND NO ISSUES WITH THE DIAL CORD. I PLAYED THIS RADIO FOR 3 HOURS AND IT DID NOT DRIFT ON AM BAND. GOOD PLAYING RADIO FOR ITS AGE. There was distortion noise when turning the volume control.. The knob for the band control is there but broken. I was told it worked when I bought it for what thats worth. Vintage Knight Star Roamer Shortwave Tube Radio Amateur Ham - Works Unit is in very good physical condition with no major mechanical or cosmetic defects. Front aluminum facing has a slight bow, which is most likely an easy fix, but cosmetic only. All knobs and switches work well. The tuning indicator is a little jumpy when tuning (i.e. not smooth), but tuning functions appear to be working as well. Tested this unit on AM tuning as this is all that is available in my area. The video is of the actual unit playing an am station. As with any unit of this age, could use a good cleaning and is a perfect candidate for restoration if desired.
