Vendo lultima versione del mitico registratore a bobine Revox A77 MKIV con mobile in legno, in incredibili condizioni estetiche interne ed esterne, COME NUOVO! (vedi foto). Si tratta della quarta versione che è stata prodotta dal 1974 fino alla fine produzione del modello avvenuta nel 1977, con alcune modifiche tecniche migliorative rispetto ai modelli precedenti. E stato utilizzato per pochissime ore per uso domestico e sempre riposto in un armadio al riparo da polvere e umidità, protetto anche da una rarissima copertina in plastica morbida grigia originale Revox che nelle due tasche esterne può ospitare i cavi e i nastri con custodia e può lasciare fuoriuscire la maniglia di trasporto. Si prega di notare dalle foto la brillantezza del sia del telaio interno che delle cromature delle manopole che dopo decenni è tuttora perfettamente conservata, la totale assenza di polvere allinterno e la verniciatura ancora originale in Nextel dei piattelli portanastro. E a 4 tracce con velocita di scorrimento del nastro standard (9,5 e 19 cm/sec). Lapparecchio è stato totalmente revisionato con sostituzione di tutti i condensatori elettrolitici, Rifa e di sicurezza. Da sottolineare anche le eccellenti condizioni delle testine, praticamente nuove, e del roller. Sostituito anche il cuscinetto di scorrimento del nastro e la cinghia del contanastro. Il registratore, perfettamente funzionante in tutte le sue funzioni, è stato tarato su nastro LPR35. Si forniscono in dotazione: - 1 nastro Maxell UD usato ma cancellato con bulk eraser in bobina in plastica trasparente fumé con innesto cine visibile in foto. - 1 bobina vuota visibile ile in foto in plastica trasparente fumé con innesto cine. - 1 cavo di alimentazione originale Revox grigio con spina Schuko in perfette condizioni.- 1 coperchio protettivo originale in plastica rigida fumé per Revox A77 in condizioni solo discrete (non appartenente in origine a questo registratore), con molti graffi ma nessuna crepa. Revox A77 reel to reel Mark 1 (~1968) Very Rare Excellent Condition S/No S008679. Almost like new. This is a unique chance to purchase a Revox A77 mark 1 in almost concours condition. The unit is dated around 1968/9 and is a Swiss machine serial number S008679. I purchased the unit in late 1996, from lady who was selling her late husbands hi-fi collection. This was his pride and joy and he purchased it brand new. At the time it was almost the price of a car! The unit was very clean inside but had 10.5 reel scuff marks on the transport cover and the odd razor splice cut on the head cover. Therefore I purchased new ones, for this model, along with potentiometer skirts (clear) for the front panel. The originals had started to smoke. These parts came from Studer and cost around £140, that was in 1997, the invoice is on the photograph. The inside and all the cabling is like new. Ive not calibrated this and only played this machine to show folks years ago. I have not changed any electrical/electronic part, although I have renovated/fully restorted a number of machines. (in the 80s I was an engineer). The 3 capacitors that cause issue with A77s, have not been changed; they are in view under the serial number on the photograph with the relay. I tested these before I switched on the machine today, all three measured 15 nan. Even so I would suggest changing them but i didnt want to do so to preserve the history of the machine. Finally - its the suitcase model complete with amps that sound terrific. Saying that, the machine is not absolute and you will need to be aware of these minor issues: The mains socket has been converted to IEC, it looks like a factory or dealer conversion. Some of the boards have had the factory mods (PSU etc) and thats why I feel the IEC mod is genuine.The VU meters, have been nibbled at to expose the lower mechanism, calibrated and then set with putty. (its on the pictures). Obviously they are the older meters, which couldnt be altered.There is no serial number trap-door but that fell off most of them, if it is vital I will take one off my other A77s..The heads have wear, - to be expected, but sound and record great, a lot of life in the old dog yet.It has a few minor scuffs, nothing noticable on the photos but they are - close up.there are no NAB hubs or reels included I have videos to share, showing a near silent FF/Rev wind and excellent stacking. The capstan is silent apart from start-up whine. Speed is excelllent and it works well with both normal and 10.5 inch reels. Most importantly - how does it sound? Well I have not even tried to calibrate it - i played a few tapes from a calibrated machine and they played back great. Channels balance and are very clear - incredible to say how much I have spent on other machines, changing capacitors. So onto record; I took out a new, old stock box of Scotch superlife 212LP 5 inch and recorded a part of The Wall - master and it will be staying with the machine, for the buyer - its cut in parts and the start was without cleaning the heads, after an old reel had been played - once cleaned it snapped in. So why am I selling it? I am rationalising and have five other A77s a B77 and about 8 Ferrographs, that I need to get upto speed. This has been probabaly not used for nearly twenty years. And TBH this is simply too perfect to touch.... This will need to be collected, I would not risk postage.
