vintage 1970s “REALISTIC” 8 TRACK TAPE PLAYER (TR-882) RECORDER (14-944) stereo. Up for auction is a vintage 1970s realistic eight track tape player/recorder. The player is model TR Dash 882 and the recorder is model 14–9 44. I do not have speakers for it, but I did plug it in and it power zone. I put a tape in it and you could hear the tape running, but I have no way to listen to it. It appears to be in great working condition. This unit is from an estate sale....it was still in line with a system....i powered it up by sticking in an 8 track....lights came on and it was just squealing....it had been sitting many years... probably needs new belt and serviced by a technician.... therefore listed in parts non working category....winner pays 35.00 s/h....Thanks for looking..(woodgrain ). ...my test 8track tape is not included

Vintage Realistic TR-882 8-Track Player/recorder. Model 14-944.0524. This unit powers up and acts like it is playing when you put an 8 track in it. That is as much testing as has been done , so this purchase is as is and is priced cheap because of it. I think that it works however. This is as is.

Realistic TR-882 8 Track Player and Recorder in excellent condition. Model number 14-944.Made in Japan. This unit has a brand new drive belt installed and the packing from it is in the pictures. This unit plays perfectly but I do not have blank tapes to try recording with it. Changes through channels also very well. All lights and buttons work well.
