Selling this very clean Rotel Power amplifier, the RB-1080. This has the same circuit as the RB-1582 (I have attached the design Schematics comparing the 2 as the last photo. They are more or less the same amplifier. Condition: Very clean condition, just a couple of nicks as is usual with age. Nothing remarkable. Service: The unit is fully serviced. Bias has been set and the unit has been cleaned. Upgrades: The following upgrades were done over the stock 1080Full Recap done with equal or better parts. (Except main filter caps, those are ok)Nichicons for bypassPanasonic FC for Feedback LoopNichicon Muse BP 10uf for input coupling. The stock is 4.7uF which sets the -3db at 15Hz, this upgrade brings it flat to 7Hz. Additionally, the Muse are Audio specialty capacitors known for their detailed and warm presentation.Each Capacitor chosen for its strengths.Multi-turn pot for biasUpgraded feet, these are Aluminum capped vs the generic plastic ones.With this re-cap, the amplifier is good for another 25 years + of operation.
