Pioneer PL-518 Direct Driver Automatic Return Turntable acquired from the family of the original owner. Cuing raises and lowers the tone arm. Tone arm adjustments move freely and perform their intended functions. Strobe is bright and accurate. Pitch controls change the speed as they should. Auto-return works perfectly. Although this turntable works and sounds great it has a couple of flaws. The feet have worn out and disappeared, so if desired a new set of feet can be purchased on ebay or from sites on the internet. The dust cover has a few small cracks which have no effect on operation. One thin crack is near a hinge, the other on top. The dustcover stays up and the cracks dont affect visibility. The dust cover also has the usual brush marks and scratches. The turntable has some type of quality Stanton cartridge and stylus which sounds terrific. Thats the story with this quality turntable. Working great, with a few small flaws that dont affect operation or sound quality. Although this turntable works as stated, due to age, a long period of non-use, and above mentioned flaws this turntable is offered for restoration and sold as is. Please view the auction photos. Powers on, the arm goes back and forth. It needs a new needle. The cover is a little cracked on the back. Its missing the pieces to hold it to the bottom. The cover also has some scratches. Comes as you see it in the photos. It has not been tested any further. However, it appears to be working. As is no returns.

Comes with Pioneer headshell and audio technica cartridge ..The turntable works and plays like it should , auto return , cue control ,speeds all good . The Perch / rest for the tone arm works but is funky/loose , the cover has some stains and scratches ,it may clean up, also has homemade /back woods feet (they seem to work OK) . So Im guessing its going to need some service ,or use it as-is . Either way NO returns or Refunds on a 50 year old turntable .
