This player has been cleaned and refurbished. Has a new belt, pinch rollers have been cleaned and capstans as well, has new grease and the buttons, headphone Jack and volume wheel have been cleaned. Has Dolby nr and a really cool sliding door.

Very nice condition especially the chrome bezel which on a lot of these is black plasitic. Does work, good sound, but bad W&F. Ive had a quick look and it seems to have a wobbly post that one of the idler wheels sit on, this is the large black wheel in the bottom left of the photo of the scrap mech (which is OK) These use the AR90 mech which is a single belt, usually these work much better than the twin belt AR10 ones. Ive dismantled the scrap unit which had terrible battery leak damage, all the parts are included. It came with the AA battery holder which is what leaked, I think its probably still usable for testing. It will make an interesting project, the mech base will need to be stripped and swapped into the good unit. Ive had these for a while and I dont think Im ever going to get it done so lets see if anyone fancies a challenge. I have added an RQ-S85 which ive just found tucked away, I have not even tried it out, it may or may not work but worse case it will be good for spares as it has the same folding lid and AR90 mech as the others as far as I know, I think the motor may be specific to the PCB but they can be easily swapped over if needed.
