A vital part of creating the NAP 250s smooth controlled sound. Complete original modules, comprising circuit boards with original Naim output transistors and heatsinks. Matched pair, taken from a fully working Olive NAP250. Price is for the pair, delivered. These modules are rarely available nowadays - in fact thats an understatement, they are like the proverbial hens teeth to get hold of!! These modules were also employed by Naim in their NAP 135 monoblock amplifiers - one regulator in each of a pair of amplifiers. Please be aware that the many cheap Chinese clone NAP250 regulator boards and modules available on ebay are NOT the same circuit as the original Naim regulator modules. They have been cleverly made to look similar, but they dont regulate the power supply the way the Naim ones do. I know because Im an electronics engineer and I bought some of the cheap regulators and traced the circuit. The performance of the cheap regulators is severely sub-standard (poorer regulation, increased noise), so there must be a lot of disappointed people who have bought them and wondered why their amplifiers dont sound so good! This pair of genuine Naim regulator modules have been checked and they function just as they should, so they will do justice to the quality of your Naim amplifier. Pair of sequential s/n. 1749*** (2001) Avondale upgraded NAP 135 power amps.Excellent cosmetic condition (kept in an Isoblue rack) from a smoke free home. Delivered to Les at Avondale by myself and serviced/upgraded in Dec. 2012 (inc. NCC200 boards & Kendiel Caps). They have had a very easy life since the work was carried out as I was working abroad frequently. (often unplugged for many weeks at a time). Also, they have not been driven hard ie: rarely higher than 9 oclock on the 52 pre-amp volume control they were used with. The Avondale upgrade was, imo, a very worthwhile improvement that took an already iconic great design to a higher level. There is plenty of on-line info. on this modification route benefits and how much it costs to have done these days. They are being sold in the original boxes with an owners manual, 2 x XLR leads and a pair of non-OEM quality power cables specifically made up for me with 90 degree RS components IEC socket connecters and a 13 amp. multi-plug (which can accommodate two more power cables if required).
