PRE-OWNED; used condition, may have surface defects e.g. wear to case and/or buttons, cracks in case, scratches or discolouration to case or keys due to age and exposure to sunlight. ALL such remotes are tested and even if fully working the remote is disassembled and the case, keypad and associated components thoroughly cleaned using a water based degreaser. Battery terminals are cleaned to remove oxide or corrosion if present. Contact pads under the keypad buttons are cleaned as is the circuit board using a solvent to remove any contamination which may affect long-term use. The remote is then reassembled and tested to ensure full functionality. NOTES ON HYGIENE! If you think the above cleaning process is overkill, just Google remote control germs and youll see what I deal with and you can avoid. Prior to dispatch each remote is again tested and the case sealed with an individually numbered sticker. Sadly, this is necessary as my experience in the repair trade revealed a small minority of customers who would claim the device didnt work but then attempted to get a refund by returning their broken one! This does however allow me to identify remotes Ive sold and swiftly deal with any problems and offer a 30 day return (excluding p & p) if there is a defect and the seal is intact. This NAD C315BEE was buzzing on arrival due to a defective Main Capacitor. I upgraded both to Chemicon KMH series 105C rated caps. Many of the original JH branded Electrolytic Caps were also testing bad, so I upgraded the audio capacitors to Bipolar nichicon and ELNA, and I upgraded the Power Supply caps to mostly 105C rated nichicon, ELNA, etc. For added versatility, I have repurposed the (fixed line level) Tape Output RCA Jacks to be (variable level) Preamp Outputs suitable for a powered Subwoofer, external Power Amp, etc. Im also including a new 6-button learning remote programmed for Mute On/Off, Volume Up/Down, and 3 Input Selects DISC, CD, and AUX. I can reprogram as requested. Cosmetically, this unit is in excellent shape inside and out except for some dings on the top/side cover. Please see photos. Full refund within 60 days. Rated at 40 NAD watts per channel, the 45 Volt Main Rails and 10,000uF Main Caps provide plenty of IHF Power as well. While the reviewers are quite complimentary of this model, some have mentioned their desire for Preamp Outputs. VOILA!! It should be noted that the Standby Mode draws similar power and generates similar heat to the ON Mode. I recommend turning OFF the Main Switch on the Rear Panel when not in use.
