I bought this New quite a long time ago. It is clean and the last time I used it,which was 15 years ago, it worked perfectly, but I have no way of trying it today.It does power up when plugged in and I believe it works as fine as it did thelast time I used it as its been stored in the box in a climate controlled room.Will ship in the original Factory Box. This NAD preamp 1000 has done me a lot of good over the years but Ive downsized. See our other listings for more hi-fi gear and t-shirts for people who love hi-fi gear and music.

This NAD preamp does work, but it has a couple issues. First, its missing the physical power button but the mechanism still works. Secondly, the sound on the right speaker goes in & out. A slight jiggle of the volume knob makes that issue go away which PROBABLY means that its just an oxidation issue and a spray of de-ox should PROBABLY fix that. Lastly, there is a separate issue with the phono and I couldnt get any sound through the speakers. I have priced the unit accordingly. It does have some cosmetic imperfections - please see pics.
