Michell Gyrodek 3 Speed Turntable Motor & Controller (Parts Only) I acquired a Michell Gyrodek turntable a couple of years ago, and the motor wouldnt run. So I sent the motor and controller to Michell Engineering, and this is what they came up with: The motor was seized. This has been serviced and it is now running freely. We reset the power supply voltages, but there appears to be an issue with the frequency output of the power supply. It runs slightly slow on 33rpm but then slows down further when you select 45rpm. Trichord tested the circuit board and found no fault. We reinstalled the board into the power supply and checked the output voltages, but the fault remains - the motor runs slow (and slower on 45 than 33). Weve serviced the motor and it runs free, however I can only assume there is an issue with it internally. This is not a guarantee that the problem lies with the motor, but it has gotten to the point where it’s now costing too much to keep looking at it. So I purchased a new motor and controller and now have these old parts left over. The circuit board is good, the output voltage checks out and the motor spins freely, but its not running up to speed.
