Obviously, it doesnt have the latest bells and whistles compared to its modern day counterparts. What you are getting is the signature sound from one of the most respected high end companies of audio products. Build quality is excellent, made in England, not your everyday mass market stuffs.The unique feature of this pre/pro unit is that it operates completely in the analogue domain. This means there is no analogue to digital conversion of your analogue sources (e.g., vinyl), which then needs to be converted back to analogue preamp output.When I bought it, I know I wont be using S-Video or Laser Disc (LOL). Instead, I use the 541 purely as a analogue preamp, and am extremely happy with it. The unit is very flexible with a lot of user adjustable features. MERIDIAN AUDIO 861v4 surround sound processor. Perfect working order, but has cosmetic damage, including a chip, as shown in the pictures. Basic Meridian cards are including, as shown in the photos as well. World-class performance, but be advised that Meridian processors are not plug and play, you have to know what youre doing!
