Got this off an AR XA turntable I purchased a while back (available in another listing). I wanted to restore the table and arm but decided that I dont have the time to undertake yet another project. Tonearm appears in very good condition and all the parts including anti-skate is there. I checked the connections (leads to phono cable) to ensure that there are no broken connections. The only thing I noticed was the headshell seemed to be tilted downward a bit. I believe it is a Mayware Formula 4 although there is no print on it, please let me know if you can confirm otherwise. There is another locking nut underneath the cardboard piece the arm is sitting on. Will be shipped double boxed and counterweight and anti-skate removed and packed separately to avoid damage. Comes from a smoke free home.

Vintage Thorens TD 160 Turntable with Mayware Formula IV arm. Fully floating subchassis. The turntable runs nice and quietly, but could do with a new belt as it wont flip cleanly to 45 rpm. Its in pretty good condition cosmetically, but the lid has a crack in it and a damaged hinge. It fits and stays up fine, however (see photos). The bias string has come off the arm, but otherwise its complete and in good shape. It has no cartridge fitted (it had an original Decca London installed, which Im not sure I can part with!). It has lain unused for years, as the delicacy of setting up and using it is too much for me now. Time for a new home, younger eyes and steadier hands!

There is one stubborm bit of tape residue on the front left edge… which i am currently trying to get off.. Lid hinges are undamaged. The holes on the right hand side of the top plate are where the original thorens arm lifter used to be.
