This is a legendary preamp designed by John Curl and built in the USA by Mark Levinson. These rarely come on the market.It’s a 2-piece preamp with the power supply in a separate housing to reduce interference between the power supply circuits and the audio circuits. Inside you’ll find custom made modules for the input and output stages. You’ll also notice the super high quality potentiometers and switches. Some early Mark Levinson products used Camac connectors which are very hard to find, but this Mark Levinson JC-2 uses industry-standard RCA input and output connectors for easy compatibility in almost any system. All functions work as they should and has been tested on Sound Technology test gear to confirm proper operation on all inputs and outputs.
