A very attractive little American made Shure/ Realisic R1000E (M91ED) cartridge. Headshell mounted, aligned and tested. Multimeter tested at 621/623 ohms per channel. The R1000E is the same generator and body as the venerable Shure M91ED rebadged for Realistic. The red and black color scheme is very cool and displays well. It is mounted on a New aluminum alloy Nagaoka style headshell with gold lead wires. The bonus here is a LP Gear Japanese made 0.3x0.7 diamond elliptical stylus that has 15 minutes on it for testing only. The stylus costs $67.50 if bought direct. Designed to track at 3/4-1.5 grams. I wanted a better cartridge so I purchased a Shure M 91ED cartridge and obtained another Lenco tonearm head shell. I used the Shure cartridge and not the Audio Technica cartridge. This turntable has not been used since 2002. It has been stored under my bed for over 20 years. It is a belt drive turntable and plays at 33&1/3 rpm speed and 45 rpm speed. The turntable comes with both stereo cartridges, both tonearm head shells, a hinged dust cover, power cord and connection cables and the owners booklet. This vintage Shure M91ED turntable cartridge has been tested and is in good working condition. It is compatible with Shure products and is a type of cartridge suitable for record players and turntables. The color of the cartridge is black. There is some scuffing, and there is no stylus guard, but it does not affect the sound quality when tested with a compatible stylus. No stylus is included with this cartridge. See attached photos.

Shure M91ED Turntable Cartridge Audio Technica Headshell. Tested And Working. Has a dent in the cantilever

Shure M91ED Cartridge w/ New Kyowa .3 x .7 Mil Elliptical Stylus – G4 This listing is for one used Shure M91ED cartridge. The cartridge was “checked” with an Ohmmeter & the results are posted in two of the photos. The readings are very close & have a difference of less than 0.38%. The included stylus is a new Kyowa “replacement” for a Shure N91E. The stylus has a .3 x .7 mil elliptical tip & the tracking force is ¾ ~ 1½ grams. The stylus is still factory sealed – as shown in the 2nd & 3rd photos. This is the 9th M91ED I have posted with this stylus. A couple of feedback I have received: Cartridge works great. Great price and fast shipping. Highly recommended. A++++ .... I do not know much about the Kyowa stylus but it plays and sounds very good. How are they rated? Also included is a set of mounting hardware – as shown. (The screws can be cut down to the size you need with a pair of wire cutters.) Since the cartridge was “checked” with an Ohmmeter, the stylus is new, & this combination has been visually inspected, there are NO returns or refunds. This is the 90th M91ED I have posted on eBay & I have sold 1101 cartridges. All of the cartridge/stylus combinations I sell are sold AS IS - in working condition. I do not offer ANY type of refund, exchange, or return on these cartridge/stylus combinations. If you have an issue with sibilance, it probably means that the cartridge/stylus is not a good match for your tonearm. Not that there is anything defective with this cartridge or stylus. Note: The cantilever (the thin silver tube which the stylus tip is mounted to) is the fragile part of the stylus assembly. The stylus needs to be handled carefully. If the buyer breaks or bends the cantilever when un-packaging, inserting the stylus assembly into the cartridge, or handling the cartridge once the stylus is mounted, I will not be held responsible. This includes while mounting the cartridge to your headshell. It is best to mount your cartridge somewhat loosely first. Then install the stylus. Once the stylus is mounted into the cartridge, adjust the cartridge for the correct overhang for your particular turntable. If you are unfamiliar or inexperienced with installing, mounting, & adjusting cartridges/styli, please have an experienced professional do the installation for you.
