Up for sale is this silver KRELL SACD STANDARD MARK III player. The cabinet is in pristine condition--no scratches, chips, dents, stains, etc.--excellent plus condition all around. However, two weeks ago it stopped powering up. Rather than have it looked at and worked on by Krell or a private technician, Ive decided to replace it with a comparable, high-end SACD player, which will cost me many thousands more than, I suspect, it would cost to repair this one. Foolish, probably, on my end, but there you are. This one has served me well and was still working fine very recently, so Im thinking a repair would not be much to accomplish by someone whos up for it. Ive decided to pass it on to someone with the know-how, or willing to invest in a repair, or with a need for parts. The MARK III was a significant upgrade over the SACD Standard, so please only compare apples and apples. Ill ship this player in its original box (pictured), with a power cord and a Krell remote.
