Zum Verkauf bieten wir hier eine absolute Hifi-Rarität, welche entsprechend selten angeboten wird. Es handelt sich um den Analog-Tuner 700T aus dem Hause der japanischen Hifi-Schmiede Kenwood. Der Tuner stammt aus den 70er Jahren, als Kenwood noch zu den ganz renommierten Top-Herstellern im Hifi-Bereich zählte. Der 700T zählte zu den besten Tunern der Welt und hatte in den 70er Jahren einen Neupreis von 2900.-DM (gem. Hifi-Wiki) und war daher seinerzeit absolutes Highend. Die Verarbeitung ist phantastisch. Tuner stammt aus den 70er Jahren und ist aktuell funktionsfähig aber nicht revidiert, inwieweit das in der Vergangenheit evtl. geschehen ist, wissen wir nicht (stammt aus Nachlass). Eine Überholung sollte daher eingeplant werden. Der optische Zustand ist altersgemäß mit normalen Gebrauchsspuren - Originalbilder! Das Gerät kann hier gerne Vorort ausgiebig begutachtet werden! THE WOOD CABINETS FOR THE TUNER AND POWER AMP ARE ORIGINAL AND HAVE BEEN REFINISHED. THE 700C WOOD CABINET IS A CUSTOM WALNUT VENEER COPY OF THE TUNERS CABINET EXCEPT WITH BETTER MATERIALS AND NO TOP VENT HOLES. VERY NICE COSMETIC CONDITION AND ALL WORKS AS IT SHOULD. Kenwood 700T AM-FM Stereo Tuner. Ive owned this tuner since new in the 1970s when I purchased it at one of the suburban Musicraft stores outside of Chicago. In spite of its reputation, this particular unit was a very good sounding tuner when working properly. The problem I had with it was the two stage tuning mechanism. The two stage mechanism malfunctioned and became a one stage tuning mechanism. I discontinued use of this tuner many years ago and it hasnt been plugged in since. For that reason, it must be assumed that it needs a good service before it could be used again. Also, because of the time sitting unused, the best practice would be to power it up slowly using a variac. Even then, who knows what the capacitors are going to do. Cosmetically, the tuner is very good. There are no nicks, scraps, gouges, etc. For someone who already has the 700 series preamp and power amp, this would be a nice addition. Is it worth $99 -- thats for you to decide.
