JVC QL-F4 Direct Drive Turntable for parts | repair

This JVC QL-F4 turntable is being sold as a parts unit and is not in working condition. It is compatible with JVC brand and QL model. The unit is black in color and was manufactured in Japan. Please note that this turntable is intended for parts or repair only and is not suitable for use as is. It is perfect for those who need replacement parts or for someone who is experienced in repairing turntables.

The QL-F4 has the best of both turntable worlds: platter rotational accuracy and full automatic operational ease. The combined use of a core-less motor, a direct-drive mechanism and the renowned JVC Quartz technology is the secret behind it's performance, and its low wow/flutter of 0.025% wrms. The QL-F4 features a Quartz servo system which incorporates a precision Quartz oscillator, super servo frequency generator and responsive servo circuit. Its major highlight is the core-less direct-drive motor; this doesn't cog and thus assures absolutely smooth and accurate revolution, and leads to low wow/flutter. The turntable offers the convenience of fully automatic operation. Among its unusually versatile functions are: (1) Auto-repeat offering from 1 to 6 plays at the twist of a rotary control, with the 'R' setting offering infinite replays (2) Auto-lead in which raises the tonearm, moves it over the edge of the record, and gently lowers it to the lead-in groove to start playing (3) Auto-return which sets the tonearm automatically to its rest when a play is completed, then shuts the power off. As a bonus, the moment you move the tonearm manually, the QL-F4 can be operated as if originally designed for manual operation. Turntable looks and runs well. Dust cover is included. Please note condition of dust cover. It is intact but cloudy with scratched and can use a good buffing. Comes with Audio Technica VS200 cartridge and stylus. Great table but can benefit from damping. I have O tings on the tonearm and modeling clay in the plinth. I can ship with or remove. Will pack well.

Vintage Japan JVC QL-F4 Automatic Direct Drive Turntable | Needs Cartridge READ Turntable is in good condition overall, but has a couple of notable flaws in its operation. The tone arm will load itself properly onto whatever disc is put on the platter, but it is in desperate need for a new needle cartridge. The one that’s on there now does play, but it is very scratchy and distorted while doing so. It is also worth nothing that the table seems to only spin at one speed, regardless of turning the adjustment knob between 33 and 45 rpm. I am not a technician by any means, and have not attempted to resolve any of the issues I am noting here. Player will be sold AS-IS, no returns. Cosmetically, this turntable is in good shape, only showing signs of age-related wear around the top cover. Underneath the cover, there appears to be no exterior damage inflicted onto any of the switches or the mechanism responsible for loading the record. Comes with the original manuals for operation, but does not include any other accessories or packaging material. See all pictures closely for details of condition, and specifications of the table. Great looking TT in very nice condition. Table has been recapped, greased and oiled. Brown factory glue and wax, know issue, removed from boards and components. All trim pots cleaned and adjusted. New LEDs installed and serviced. Everything works as it should. Dustcover polished, there are a few deep scratches that were not removed. Includes Shure cartridge with HI-TRACK stylus.I sell a lot of TTs and know how to pack them. It will be partially dismantled and require you to install the counterweight on the tonearm and set tracking weight again.
