All electrolytic capacitors were replaced, both those in the powersupply and on the amplifier boards. The plastic dielectric couplingcapacitors were checked, found not to be leaky, and so were notreplaced. The selenium rectifiers in the power supply were replaced withsilicon diodes.All potentiometers and switches were treated with De-Oxit and now workwell.The tone controls and phono equalizer were tested and work as theyshould.A previous owner replaced the power transformer; the one he installedworks fine. We added an AC line fuse for safety reasons.There are two small holes in each side of the case, not visible fromthe front, that were probably for some mounting scheme.The inductor that is used for the 5 and 7 KHz low pass scratch filtersin Channel A was open circuit and therefore removed. We tried to repairit but was unsuccessful.
