? Pioneer/Empire CE2000E (2000E) Cartridge w/ Empire S2000E Stylus - J This listing is for one used Pioneer/Empire CE2000E cartridge. The CE2000E was the originally supplied cartridge on the Pioneer PL-518 & PL-514 turntables. It is the same as the Empire 2000E. The cartridge was “checked” with an Ohmmeter & the results are posted in two of the photos. The readings are close & a difference of less than 2.1%. The cartridge body had numerous spots where the paint had chipped off. I touched up the spots with model paint. I tried to show this in photos 5 ~ 7. The included stylus is a used, genuine Empire S2000E. It is in excellent condition. There is a slight indentation on the right side of the cantilever – shown in many of the photos. It will not affect the sound output. The stylus has a .3 x .7 mil elliptical tip & the tracking force is 1 ~ 3 grams. Also included is the shown set of mounting hardware. Since the cartridge was “checked” with an Ohmmeter, & this combination has been visually checked, there are NO returns or refunds. This item will require an adults’ signature for delivery. All of the cartridge/stylus combinations I sell are sold AS IS - in working condition. I do not offer ANY type of refund, exchange, or return on these cartridge/stylus combinations. If you have an issue with sibilance, it probably means that the cartridge/stylus is not a good match for your tonearm. Not that there is anything defective with this cartridge or stylus. Note: The cantilever (the thin silver tube which the stylus tip is mounted to) is the fragile part of the stylus assembly. The stylus needs to be handled carefully. If the buyer breaks or bends the cantilever when un-packaging, inserting the stylus assembly into the cartridge, or handling the cartridge once the stylus is mounted, I will not be held responsible. This includes while mounting the cartridge to your headshell. It is best to mount your cartridge somewhat loosely first. Then install the stylus. Once the stylus is mounted into the cartridge, adjust the cartridge for the correct overhang for your particular turntable. If you are unfamiliar or inexperienced with installing, mounting, & adjusting cartridges/styli, please have an experienced professional do the installation for you. I picked up a Yamaha YP-211 in perfect shape. It came with an Empire 2000 cartridge and S2000E Stylus/Needle. That cartridge also had a broken stylus (missing the needle/tip). The previous owner must have had 2 needles and the one for sale must have been the reserve one.I have no way of knowing how many hours this one has. By the physical look of it, Id say not that much.I put condition as a 6 based on the exterior look of the cartridge and a 8 for the S2000E/I Type Needle but have no ability to use a microscope to check the stylus.The cart/stylus played a record with no issues.As with all things vintage, sold as is.
