Its important to note that this amplifier is in excellent shape and both sonically and visually flawless. Its a perfect fit for anyone who values high-quality sound and wants to enjoy their music, movies, and TV shows with crystal-clear audio.The one only issue with this unit is the positive banana type binding post on the channel 3 speaker output. When new I hooked the system up and slid it into its rack. I pushed back too far and broke the positive post off. Fear not the entire amp functions flawlessly and I soldered in place a gold 5 way binding post which I decided to use on all the speaker outputs. They not only look great but are also easier to connect to.The UPA-5 produces 125 honest watts per channel at 8Ohms and can peak around 300watts during intense musical transients depending on the resistance of the speakers being driven. Speaking of driving speakers accurately and powerfully this amplifier barely gets warm even though it uses a high current/high voltage design.I like to consider this amplifier a gentile workhorse. Its powerful enough to run most any speaker at extremely high volume levels and yet is delicate and detailed enough to satisfy most any audiophile. Due to the extremely large size as seen in the photos it has the weight to match due to the massive high efficiency transformer. For these reasons the amplifier is for local pick up only assuming that the buyer is close enough to meet close to a halfway point when reasonable.
