NEW DRIVE BELT. The Unit works just fine. Sometimes on start-up the table needs a gentle push. After the first start the unit works fine on the following records. This turntable comes with all 3 spindle parts: 1) Single 33rpm play, 2) Stacked 33rpm play, and 3) 45rpm center play. The Tone Arm swings to the appropriate start point for both the 33rpm and the 45rpm records. The arm returns properly and turns off the machine at the end of the record. The center spindle works with multiple records. I tested it with 3 records. Each record dropped properly and the swing arm moved out properly for each record. And, the player turned off after the last record finished. The Grado Cartridge does not have a needle so the records were not played. As for speed accuracy, the Pitch adjustment works to move the reflective lights for both the 33 and the 45 rpm settings. So, I assume the record speed is accurate. Update, I temporarily placed a good cartridge and needle on the turntable and played several records. Each played accurately. I tested it on the record, Out of Africa with lots of instruments and it sounded accurate with no wobble, no wow, no speed fluctuation that I could detect. I have returned the Grado Cartridge that needs a needle. ALSO, I am including my Discwasher record cleaning brush. Its been used, but still does a good job on cleaning the dust off the record before playing. It comes with a small cleaning brush and a bottle of cleaning liquid which has no liquid in it. As noted, In November 2023, I replaced the rubber drive belt between the drive motor and the turntable which should give the unit an extended life. One note of caution, if the Platter does not start on the initial start up, there is a risk the belt will be damaged from the spinning motor. A gentle push on the platter to give it an initial start avoids damage to the new belt. My experience is it is only on the initial start up that the platter struggles to start up. In my most recent tests the platter started properly every time even after resting for several days between tests. The video was taken on the initial startup after resting for about a week with no startup problems. But, attention must be given at the initial startup to avoid damaging the new belt. The Plastic cover does have scuff marks, 1 scrape and 1 crack on the back corner. Amazingly good condition for this unit. See pictures.

The Motor and Turntable work fine. The Unit will not turn off so the turntable runs constantly. The Tone Arm does not swing out properly but will follow a record if moved out and place on a record. The Tone Arm does not return by itself and when assisted will not turn the motor off even after the click. The Tone Arm does not have a shell head. and does not have a cartridge. The unit does have the center record spindle. Lots of good parts here.

Here is a Dual single-play spindle removed from a model 1257 turntable. It will fit many other models, but it came from a 1257. It is in excellent condition with bright shiny finish all around. Please ask any remaining questions before bidding or buying.
