Hi,With a heavy heart, Im selling a vintage / mid-century Dual 1004S-D record changer / record player, made in West Germany 1959-60. This is a rare beauty, especially in this condition and with the spindles / adapter, headshell / cartridge carrier, and cartridge / stylus. Stacking and single-play 33 / 78 rpm spindles are included, as is the very rare 45 stacking adapter / spindle. Platter mat is shot; its hard and brittle, and parts of it are no longer attached (see pics), and should be repaired or replaced. One side of the speed selector is not attached, though that wont matter once the speed is selected, or even before then. The rest is in astonishing condition as pictured. Suspension springs, and untested cartridge and stylus are in place.The ivory-colored push buttons are original, but if you prefer the brownish-gray ones in the last pic, message me and Ill include those instead, or Ill sell them all inexpensively (I think theyll also work on a 1006). Theres a voltage selector under the platter, currently set to 110. The unit powers on and the platter spins when the Start button is pressed. The tonearm moves over to index the record size, and when theres no record there, it appears to move back to its rest and the player shuts down as it should. Seems a little slow to me and the functions will need some adjustment to work perfectly, and Im certain a good cleaning and lubrication are in order. Im including a traced cutout pattern for the plinth / base. I purchased this (and then parts for it separately) with the intention of keeping it, but unexpected expenses have popped up.
