Pretty much a legend, the AVR-X8500H is a Japan-built Denon flagship-class AVR that performs extremely well. To be specific, it even measures well, if you are into SINAD it is up there with the top performers at any price. What it lacks is HDMI 2.1 for 8K, however that is upgradeable if you so choose the 8K board is $600. This unit has the HDMI 2.0a 4K board. Its all you need for 4K. This AVR has had a AC Infinity fan on top of it for the entire time I have owned it, so it has run cool from day 1. I am not selling the fan. For what its worth, I also used an external amp with the 8500H, plus this AVR was used for living room duty not a dedicated home theater. The electronics are pristine. The exterior has a few instances of cosmetic damage, there are a couple scuffs and scratches, including one big one on the volume knob you can see in the photos. I knocked a couple hundred bucks off the usual used selling price for one of these to account for the cosmetic defects. Includes remote and tha Audyssey calibration mic.
