The drawer belt has been replaced (these tend to wear out over time). This unit will play DVDs, CDs and HDCDs. It has plenty of ins and outs for audio and video, including optical and coax digital, composite and S-VHS. It was one of Denons higher end units in 2001, and the entire transport is shielded with copper. Many audiophiles love these decks, not for their video, but for their incredible sounding CD playback. Weve tested many DVDs and CDs, even some that are a bit scratched and this deck handled all of them well. Notes: **During belt service we lubricated the drawer slides and gears with silicon grease.
