Currently it does not open when you push it. You have to force it open but pulling it, which works just fine. Im not sure what it would take to fix that, but you can work that out when you get it. There is no remote included, but they are avaible online if you look around. This unit is working great. All stages fucntion as they should, and it has a lot of power and a lot of options for your home theater set up!
