Copland CSA 515 power amplifier Spec from copland. Power output: 2x150W Tube complement: 2 x ECC82 The two tubes in CSA515 are used as precision current regulators for the amplifier driver stages. The output stage is a current feedback design employing the legendary Insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBT) from Toshiba, Type: GT20D101 & GT20D201. The amplifier has balanced and single ended inputs and can be used as a powerful mono-block when switched to bridge operation. ---------- This has been thoroughly enjoyed in my system. Works brilliantly with any preamplifier and has an ample amount of power. I have used it in various ways.. 1/ a biamp valve option for mid-range drivers in speakers 2/ a streaming only system where I plugged a Bluetooth receiver directly into the amp and use the volume control of my phone for streaming. 3/ a power amp for passive and active pre amps. Including copland. Tune rolling is fun. And cheap with only 2 valves required. Watford valves has a fun selection. The combination of solid state and valves play modern music very well without it sounding bloated in the midrange or overly warm. The rectangle chassis is very practical and robust unlike traditional valve amps.. ------not note. It does not come with a generic kettle lead unless you specifically request one. This amp will work fine with a generic lead but this amp deserves good cabling. Adding a decent powerlead / set of speaker cables and quality rcas will really enhance the quality of this amplifier. ---++ Packed very well and professionally.
