The CD has an inbuilt DAC and sounds crystal clear. It has Optical and Toslink connections. (Not supplied but readily available) Cues CD and plays well without skipping or jumping. When switching on without a CD in place it searches for CD for a minute then rests. It plays both rewritable and pre recorded CDs. The Arcam comes supplied with original instruction manual and its factory original remote control, also in good working order. Its also comes with its IEC mains power lead.
