BSR P182 turntable - hifi / disco turntable. Originally bought as a spare unit for a disco console I had in the early 1980s. As with most of the spares I bought around this time they were never used, but it was good to know I had something, just in case. This model of turntable was a popular choice for use in music centres of the time and for many disco double deck units. The turntable has not been used. As you can see from the attached photos its in pristine condition. After 40 years of sitting in a cardboard box the lubricating grease had gone hard, making the controls stiff - happens to all mechanical turntables of the period. I have cleaned away all the hardened grease and replaced with fresh. The turntable now runs as new. You still see lots of these - BSR were once the worlds largest manufacturer of turntables - but you dont often find an unused one. The turntable doesnt come with a cartridge but all the wiring and fittings are present. Original operating instructions are included.
