I enjoyed this amp so much that I upgraded to PS Audios Stellar M700 mono blocks. I had a hard time deciding which amp to keep as the M700s were a bit cleaner but the S300 seemed to have more of a very pleasing holographic sound. I purchased this amp used a year ago and always wondered about the finish. I called PS Audio to ask why this amp had a brushed aluminum case rather than powder coated. I was told that the few Beta units had brushed aluminum before they decided to powder coat when they went on sale..

Unit needs repair. We bought a tape to test the unit. Playback occurs for a split second. Stop, eject, fwd and rewind work as it should. While the tape is playing, no picture, but if I press FWD or RWD you can see the tape scrub and when I let it go it will play for a couple of seconds then go blank. Needs Repair -Sold AS IS. VTG Sony SL-300 Super Betamax Video Recorder No Remote W/ Cables Tape READ. While testing it did work but was making a noise and for this I’m saying it’s for parts. Some wear on outside some marks overall good. The tape is a law and order episode but can still be used.
