Bang & Olufsen Beogramm CD 5500 CD Player parts or repair needs new laser. The known problem capacitors have already been replaced. A previous owner had damaged one of the boards so a trace repair has been done as can be seen in the pictures. The cd player was working for a short amount of time with the laser power potentiometer being all the way turned down (as in it having an almost 0 ohm resistance.) However because I did not want to break the laser by running it with too much voltage I adjusted it down and I havent been able to get it working since. I have turned both potentiometers to the mechanical mid position so a future technician or hobbyist will need to recalibrate it once the laser is replaced. The belt has also been replaced and the cd player opens and closes just fine. The din connector has been replaced with two cinch connectors. See pictures for the exact cosmetic condition of the cd player.
