The Audax HM210Z0 loudspeaker is a bass/midrange with airgel cone and molded Zamack bowl. This 8-inch high-fidelity loudspeaker is ideal for making 2-way speakers, with for example an Audax TW025A20Mg tweeter or a SEAS T25CF002 above. The HD-A (High Definition Airgel) cone is a real technological breakthrough in this field, surpassing the materials known to date. Through an extraordinary combination of a new material and an original process, Audax has created a composite cone, an innovation whose properties are close to ideal for a direct radiation transducer. Ultra light, extremely rigid and perfectly damped, this uncompromising cone is made of a controlled matrix of acrylic polymer gel enveloping ideally ordered Carbon and Kevlar fibres. An exclusive Audax process allows optimized alignment of the fibers in the polymer chain. The process provides full control of the profile and weight of the cone, while offering the ability to vary the thickness at each location. This 210 mm bass/midrange driver is intended for the design of prestigious 2 or 3-way loudspeakers. It is notably equipped with a molded Zamack chassis with ventilated under the spider to promote the best transient response and a non-resonant warhead to linearize the response at the top of the spectrum. Its good power handling results from the use of a coil on a Kapton support reinforced with glass fiber in flat copper wire on edge. The gold-plated connector allows excellent solderability.
