The power amplifier section uses SONYs metal transistor 2SD46 in the output stage, configured in a quasi-complementary circuit, with an output of 25W+25W. It is a best-selling product that solidified the reputation of Sansuis transistor amplifiers. The input source selector includes Tape Head options for 19 cm/sec and 9.5 cm/sec, designed for the open reel tape transports of the time. It features an EQ circuit tailored to the emphasis characteristics based on tape speeds. The protection circuit detects overcurrent in the power transistors and cuts off the power supply to the intermediate amplification stage using a thyristor.
