Ariston Q Deck turntable. With an Ortofon OM5E moving magnet cartridge.Semi automatic - the platter starts to turn when the arm is moved towards the record and the arm lifts when the record reaches the end grooves.Made in Britain. Great sounding deck which gives more modern (and more expensive) decks a run for their money!This turntable was only used for about two years and then put into storage. So very little use.The Ortofon cartridge did not get much use either - and still plays / sounds fantastic. The 5E can easily be upgraded to an OM10 or OM20 by simply swapping the stylus (the cartridge body is common across all three - making the swap very quick and easy).The arm bearings feel very solid, which is good. The deck plays at 33 or 45 rpm using the round button on the plinth. All in good working order.The belt is still the original - you may wish to treat yourself to a new one (£6 or £7 on eBay) or try a Dual 601 belt which is said to be a good choice.The power lead has a simple 2-pin plug. I could change this to a better MK Toughplug if you wish - for an extra £8. Just say.In good condition. Some small marks on the lid, but nothing to worry about. See the photos. My photo of the stylus was not easy to take - this is the best I could get.Boxed (not the original box - but carefully boxed all the same!). UPS or DHL delivery - to keep the turntable safe in transport - only £9.00Or collect from North London if you wish.(All the photos are mine)
