Ariston RD80 Vintage Turntable -Rega Tonearm -audio Technica Cartridge. Classic turntable. Linn on a budget. New belt fitted. Ive polished the platter up as it was flat. Has original lid, small crack which doesnt affect use. Comes with a rega r200 tonearm fitted with rb250 weight as I bought without. Works fine, only downside is tone arm clip is missing but the arm sits nicely on its rest with lifter up. Comes with titanium headshell and award winning audio technica cartridge. It sounds great and Bob has set up the speeds, they both lock in perfecty. The arm is the Ariston one it was sold with, pretty decent really, and probably made by Acos, at a guess and looks like the ones used on te early Rotel deck, such as the 1500. The auto stop function doesn;t see to work and looking at the udner side, it looks like this may have been disconnected. Very little in the way of cosmetic imperfections. The grado in the pictures is now bean swaped with a good used Sumiko Black Pearl, as the grado lost a coil shortly after testing is in great condition too and sounds great Please inspect the pictures (please also use the zoom function on the photos) and be sure of what you are buying, please don’t buy this if you are at all unsure, I will answer any questions you have, just email BEFORE PURCHASING. LP12 Period Ariston Audio RD11 record deck with Rega RB250 arm. This is one of the earlier LP12 type Ariston RD11 turntables. I believe it is early 70s before the design changes were made. It has the original machined inner plater bearing, pre ball bearing. It has a Rega RB250 fitted with VTA adjuster ( Not pictured but supplied) as Rega arms require this when fitted to LP12s. It has an acrylic arm board which tightens up the sound. The top plate looks to have drilled for a Linn sub chassis at some point (see pics) but this doesn’t affect the sound. I have included a 45 adjuster (I can’t get it to fit, maybe someone can work it out by changing the 33 rpm rotor around). You can fit a Hercules to these turntables as a direct upgrade if you desire! It spins as nicely at 33 as my LP12 and runs smooth. I’ve disengaged the belt feed as I find it rubs sometimes but can re-engage it if needed. It’s a great deck that is a piece of history in its own right and a great launching pad for the endless upgrade world of the LP12. International postage available.
