This has been fully serviced and restored and works perfectly. I’m only selling as I then caught the vintage hifi bug and brought several other pieces to restore and after testing chose to keep. As much as I’d love to keep it, I’m not using it so someone else should. I know from buying vintage it can be a bit of a gamble so I will take returns on this if it’s not working. As long as it’s returned in same condition and as well packaged as I send. I don’t expect it to be returned as works perfectly and sounds great. All inputs work. AKAI AM-2350 VINTAGE RETRO 1970S INTEGRATED STEREO AUDIO HI-FI AMPLIFIER This is a beautiful vintage Akai AM-2350 Stereo Amplifier. Its a lovely looking, heavy and highly regarded silver unit from the late 1970s - back when hi-fi components were built like tanks. With its solid aluminium faceplate and illuminated VU peak output meters, this would make a gorgeous addition to any retro / vintage hi-fi rack. It has been in storage for a while but I powered it up today and passed some CD audio through the Aux and Tape circuits and it sounds fantastic - really warm with good highs and lows. I have taken the lid off and given the pots a quick clean with contact cleaner. The illuminated VU meters work fine and are responsive. The faceplate is in good condition with just a few light marks as a result of age, and there is some light tarnishing is visible on the push buttons. The black lid has a few light scratches, some of which have been touched up but these are not visible when the unit is in a rack. Relisted due to no contact from highest bidder when sold two weeks ago. As this is a used vintage electronic item, there may be things I have failed to pick up on during my appraisal. As a result of this and due to the age of the item, no warranty is given or implied, and the item is sold as seen with no returns. Please view the pictures as they form part of the description. Vintage Akai AM-2350 Integrated Amplifier with VU Meters. This classic is in good visual condition, I would say great but some of the text on the face has worn away. During testing the unit we found that only one Chanel appears to be working the left side. The right Chanel does not work ? Not selling as parts as all other functions work and with the right technical mind I’m sure it will be kicking out of both the left and right channel. The unit does not come with the power lead.
