Up for sale, an empty AR1W speaker cabinet. This cabinet was professionally modified to match an AR1 cabinet, which would allow it to accept an Altec 755a speaker. The project was abandoned when I couldn’t locate an Altec 755a driver or an AR1 crossover. Uou will get what is pictured, the cabinet with original insulation and an original unmodified grill. Vintage Acoustic Research AR-4XA from Motown Office 1975.Much loved speakers that were in my office at Motown in 1975 then used at home but after a house move in 2005 they have been unused and in storage. Some very minor wear and tear on the back corner of one speaker cabinet but they look in excellent condition and were always great speakers.
