Vintage Realistic 12-151A Radio Shack Crystal Controlled Weather Radio *THIS IS A USED NOT MINT item and may have some normal signs of age and use which may include one or more of the following cosmetic issues:minor scuffs, scratches, dirt, flea bites, minor rust, minor rips, tears, stains, foxing, crazing, or any other number of MINOR COSMETIC flaws that do not affect the items functionality UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED. We try to mention or photograph any known issues that we would consider MORE THAN MINOR. This item was acquired at a local estate sale. We are selling it pretty much the way we acquired it. We know nothing of the items use or history prior to it coming in our possession other than what we stated above. We are not, nor do we claim to be, experts on any item,,,,, we sell and would NEVER intentionally mislead a potential buyer. We describe and photograph the items to the best of our knowledge and ability. Our primary source of information is from finding similar items that have SOLD here on Ebay and a majority of the time we use sell similar item feature with the assumption that information in the previously sold item was vetted and accurate. This does not mean that we cannot not make honest mistakes in our listings. If we have made a mistake in our listing and you know that to be a fact we would be happy to correct it, otherwise we do what research we can within a reasonable amount of time and make educated guesses in our descriptions if we cannot find comparable items. Here find offered a Realistic stereo receiver from 1972, I am the original owner. I bought this from Radio Shack a few years out of high school and used it for about 5 years till I upgraded. I loaned it to a relative for about 10 years who used it for background music. Then it came back to me and has been in storage for 30 years. This is the STA-120B with about 45 watts per channel. This is all ‘old school’ tech here. Cassette decks were just becoming high fi about then. It has the usual phono, aux., tape in/put, and main/remote speaker connections. It has a superior FM tuner. It also has a built-in AM bar antennae inside that really brings in stations if you use AM in your area. All connections are the old binding post type or RCA pins back then before technology caught up. Cosmetically it is in superior condition with only a few scratches and wear areas, see the photos. It has been stored wrapped in a plastic bag. It has the original owner’s manual with it. There are two things not working- The Tuner band bulbs are out. They can be replaced by taking off the top metal bar, they are underneath that. The Tape-Level input control on the back has no gain. You can faintly hear the input source but the knob will not raise the level. Probably a diode or cap needs replacing. So not perfect but hey it’s 50 years old, these are easy fixes for a service shop. It is very clean inside as you can see. I hooked up a pair of JBL Control1 speakers to it and it sounded great. All knobs and switches are there and work like new, positive clicks up and down, tuner knob works perfect, signal strength and center tuning meters work along with stereo light. OK, this is wrapped and padded with solid styrofoam braces in a sturdy box weighing 31 pounds, measuring 24X21X10 inches with Fragile stickers. It will be insured for the selling price. I use UPS Ground only. OK, thanks! ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING. I will refund my Seller’s shipping discount that Ebay gives me to the buyer after the auction ends.. NO RETURNS, once it ships it is yours. I only use UPS, Post Office is too unreliable. I have one of the best ratings for safe packing. I charge a small handling fee, all shipments are Insured. Pay in 4 days to avoid unpaid claim. Trouble makers will go on my ‘blocked buyer’ list. NO free shipping, no international or Alaska or Hawaii, no PO boxes. A valid address in the continental 48 must be provided. Addendem:( It seems that I need to EXPLAIN why I don’t use USPS-the Post Office-for ground shipments, or use USPS FLATRATE cartons. So here goes: FLATRATE CARTONS don’t allow room for padding on model kits or Fragile items.——After an auction closes and you need to buy and print a shipping label, NO option for a ground label is offered, even though the auction was set up using USPS ground service. You would have to purchase a Priority label and pay the Priority charges for a ground shipment. Only a Priority label option appears. Ebay said that you have to take your auction to the Post office and ask for a Parcel Select label or a ground label, and they may not do that for you. I won’t pay for a Priority
