All aluminum electrolytic capacitors, power supply DC filter diode bridge and loudspeaker protection relay have been replaced with high quality new ones. The quiescent currents of the amplifier were precisely set to the factory value, the switches and potentiometers were cleaned and lubricated using appropriate technology. The amplifier is not tuned or modified. Great emphasis was placed on preserving the amplifiers original condition, its characteristic character, and making it authentic, the renovation was carried out according to the instructions of the factorys original Pioneer SA-8800 Service Manual. The renovation was carried out by an electrical engineer specializing in Pioneer electronic products. The end result was convincing. Excellent sound quality, energy, dynamics, detailed sound.
