Vintage Yamaha YP-D10 Direct Drive Quartz Lock Stereo Turntable Listed is a vintage and scarce Yamaha YP-D10 Direct Drive Quartz Lock Turntable. Yamaha’s top of the line turntable and a true Audiophile quality table. I have owned this beautiful classic turntable for many years. It has always been well cared for and never abused. This fine turntable was setup with all Yamaha separate components in a spare room and seldom used. It is in excellent condition and the wood veneer is in wonderful condition. No serious scratches or damage that is often the case. The lid is very clean as well no cracks or damage. Some very light scratches may be evident. This is all original and has never been altered. It still retains it’s original feet. Very well built with solid wood plinth and quite heavy with a weight of thirty six pounds. The weight means music has proper pace and dynamics. Cheaper plastic turntables can never reproduce this sound. Equally important is an extremely nice high quality tonearm with adjustments that include VTAF (Vertical Tracking Angle On The Fly). This permits fine tuning the cartridge to the record with top level precision. This turntable has never ceased to amaze me in it’s sound accuracy and versatility. The powerful high torque motor with precise servo control ensure the speed is always spot on. The tonearm automatically lifts at the end of a record and it shuts off, features that still work perfectly to this day. In fact everything works as it’s supposed to. It’s in excellent condition.
