Jetzt geht der Player wieder. Wenig benutzter aber seit einigen Jahren etwas angestaubter Yamaha YP-D71 Plattenspieler1978 im Radiogeschäft in Velbert gekauft. Dieses Modell war damals sehr teuer wegen des Direktantriebs und ist daher auch nur 2 Jahre gebaut worden.1. Hand Aus good old hifi habe den Text verkürzt und etwas auf meine Gerät verändert In Deutschland tauchte die Tochtermarke des weltgrößten Musikinstrumentenherstellers der Welt erst 1972 auf. Ende der 1970er-Jahre gehörte Yamaha zu den absolut etablierten Hifi-Herstellern und bot erstklassige Geräte an. Inzwischen arbeitete man hierzulande nur noch mit ausgesuchten Händlern zusammen, die richtig gut verdienen konnten mit den Produkten, allerdings auch rasch keine Ware mehr erhielten, wenn heraus kam, dass man die Geräte unter den empfohlenen Preisen verkaufte.Im Jahr 1978 erschien der YP-D71 als kleiner Bruder des teuren YP-D8, obschon er diesem in kaum einer Eigenschaft irgendwie nachstand. Ein manueller Plattenspieler mit optoelektronischer Endabschaltung, wobei der Lift hochgefahren wird und der Plattenteller stehen bleibt – jedoch ohne Tonarmrückführung. Das ganze in einem soliden, echtholzfurnierten Holzgehäuse – das musste viele Fans begeistern. Wenn ich mir heute solche Plattenspieler anschaue, kann ich überhaupt nicht verstehen, weshalb sich 1978 noch jemand einen Dual CS-721 gekauft hat. Stellt man die beiden nebeneinander, sieht man, was ich meine…Dieses Exemplar in Nussbaum-Furnier (es gab noch ein dunkelrotes, palisander-ähnliches Furnier, was Yamaha Macassar nannte) Man staunt über die äußerst stabile Zarge, mehrere Lagen dichte Preßspanplatten sind miteinander verleimt.Auf dieser Platine ist die Motorsteuerung untergebracht. Die Geschwindigkeit ist quarzgeregelt und nicht einstellbar.Auf der kleineren Platine ist die optoelektronische Endabschaltung nebst der Liftsteuerung zu Hause. Der Lift funktioniert mit einem Hubmagnet.Selbst die Bodenplatte, bei sehr vielen Plattenspielern aus Hartfaser in 3 mm Stärke gefertigt, besteht hier aus einer 16mm starken, hochdichten Spanplatte.Die vier Federfüße sind völlig intakt – auch das ist längst nicht immer der Fall.Von außen besticht dieser Plattenspieler durch seine Schlichtheit, verbunden mit einer absoluten Eleganz.Links findet sich ein Schalter zum Wählen der Geschwindigkeit, es ist auch gleichzeitig der Ein- und Ausschalter. Dreht man ihn auf ON, passiert aber noch gar nichts. Erst wenn man den Schalter auf der rechten Seite auf PLAY dreht, setzt sich der Teller in Bewegung.
