Early 70s Yamaha NS-650 speaker was designed for the audiophile listener. All components were designed and manufactured specifically for this application and without cutting corners, woofer and midrange utilize cast metal baskets, heavy braced cabinets that had dense natural batting on 5 sides and long strand synthetic insulation is used to fill the voids and real crossovers to actually divide the frequencies in a logical controlled manner and l-pads to tailor the speaker to its environment These are a relatively small speaker for a 3 way measuring 21tall 12wide an 11 deep and weigh 14kg or 31lbs and were released 2-3 years before the NS-1000M Due to the method in which eBay bills for selling I will not be offering shipping on these however I will package them and deliver to either FedEx or UPS on your account or you can use one of the many online postage sites that save you approx. 40% off published rates, personally I use Shippo. These are new speakers that are barely used. They were inherited from my father and I need them gone. I used them only a few times and there are a few light surfaces scratches on them but they are not noticeable unless you are looking for them. Otherwise they produce a great sound. Does not include wires to hook it up.

Sometimes big box stores totally screw things up...and you wind up with speakers to sell. Anyways, these are open box (I bought new) and indistinguishable from new. Primary reason for selling is I should have guessed theyre just too big for my studio apartment. I did test for 5 seconds to make sure they worked. Wow, Yamaha does a great job with a neutral sound...maybe the best Ive ever heard at making you think the instruments and vocals are in the room. Id prefer a sub with these, but some would be just fine as-is.
