Offered for your consideration is one (1) vintage YAMAHA model number JA-1801 7 inch (18cm) woofer removed from my NS-10M two-way monitor speakers, manufactured in Japan c.1988. This is the same quality mid/bass driver also used in the NS-10, NS-615, and possibly other high-end YAMAHA speakers, but buyer is responsible for verifying its suitability for any model other than NS-10M. So, please have a look at the large photos I’ve taken and read the remaining description to decide if this outstanding YAMAHA woofer is correct for your needs. This YAMAHA JA-1801 woofer is in clean, excellent condition. The sturdy seamed white paper cone is in perfect shape with no cracks, stains, or yellowing, and the voice coil dustcap is dimple-free perfect as pictured! Plus, the surround is permanent textile, factory-coated for extra strength and durability, instead of the fragile foam widely used by most companies in the 1980’s. And, the black anodized steel basket is in nice condition with no dings, scratches, or oxidation noted. YAMAHA soldered all driver connections, so I’ve left a few inches of the +/- wires attached to the terminals for the new owner’s convenience when splicing-in to their speaker. Overall, this capable YAMAHA woofer is exceptionally well-preserved! More importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds terrific—very strong and clear with fast, detailed midrange and stout bass response for the platform size. Plus, I tested its DC resistance at 6.7-6.9?, consistent with a nominal 8 ohm driver rating. Lastly, the basket measures just over 7” square (8¼” at truncated corners), it stands 3?” tall, and the mounting holes are spaced 5?” adjacent / 7½” diagonal apart, c-t-c. This YAMAHA tweeter is in clean, excellent overall condition. The soft textile dome is in flawless shape, well-protected under the acoustically transparent metal screen. Plus, the thick plastic faceplate is also in great shape with no cracks or scratches, just a few light handling marks from the years, and the huge ceramic magnet is free of chips or oxidation. YAMAHA soldered all driver connections in the NS-10M, so I’ve left a few inches of the +/- wires attached to the terminals for the new owner’s convenience when splicing-in to their speaker. Overall, this exceptionally well-preserved high frequency driver is practically indistinguishable from new! Most importantly, the tweeter has been fully tested and sounds great—strong and clear output up to a sparkly, beyond-audibility 20kHz upper limit. And, I tested its DC resistance at 6.3-6.4?, consistent with a nominal 8 ohm driver rating. Offered for your consideration is a pair of YAMAHA two-way crossover networks removed from my NS-10M two-way monitor speakers. These crossovers were also used in the NS-615 and possibly other high-end YAMAHA two-way speakers. They were used to divide the JA-1801 7” woofers from the JA0518 1½” soft dome tweeters, both 8? nominal, at 2kHz. So, please see the large photos I’ve taken and read the remaining description to decide if these superb YAMAHA crossovers are correct for your needs. These YAMAHA NS-10M crossovers are in clean, excellent condition. There are no faceplate scratches, just a few tiny scuffs, and no cracks at the mount holes. Plus, the sturdy, steel reinforced +/- terminals have no issues and hold speaker cable very tight. As you may know, YAMAHA soldered all of the NS-10M driver connections, so I left a few inches of +/- wire attached to the woofer/tweeter terminals for the new owner’s convenience when splicing-in my replacement driver(s) to their speaker(s). Consequently, the woofer and tweeter wires are shorter than factory length on these crossovers and will need to be lengthened (or replaced) for use in NS-10M cabinets. The crossovers were tested in the NS-10M cabinets with original drivers and worked perfectly. They’re constructed of heavily wound copper inductors, resistors, and two large capacitors. Lastly, the plates measure 4¼” wide x 5?” high, not including upper and lower protruding lobes. They’re mounted from behind the rear panel so only the black center with terminals part is exposed. It requires a roughly 2?” x 3½” cutout if considering them for a speaker building project. So, if a crossover(s) on your NS-10M’s, or other suitable speakers, isn’t working well, has a broken input terminal(s), etc., you’ve found the right listing—these crossovers will have your cherished monitor speakers back in action! Offered for your consideration is a pair of YAMAHA two-way crossover networks removed from my NS-10M two-way monitor speakers. These crossovers were also used in the NS-615 and possibly other high-end YAMAHA two-way speakers. They were used to divide the JA-1801 7” woofers from the JA0518 1½” soft dome tweeters, both 8? nominal, at 2kHz. So, please see the large photos I’ve taken and read the remaining description to decide if these superb YAMAHA crossovers are correct for your needs. These YAMAHA NS-10M crossovers are in clean, excellent condition. There are no faceplate scratches, just a few tiny scuffs, and no cracks at the mount holes. Plus, the sturdy, steel reinforced +/- terminals have no issues and hold speaker cable very tight. As you may know, YAMAHA soldered all of the NS-10M driver connections, so I left a few inches of +/- wire attached to the woofer/tweeter terminals for the new owner’s convenience when splicing-in my replacement driver(s) to their speaker(s). Consequently, the woofer and tweeter wires are shorter than factory length on these crossovers and will need to be lengthened (or replaced) for use in NS-10M cabinets. The crossovers were tested in the NS-10M cabinets with original drivers and worked perfectly. They’re constructed of heavily wound copper inductors, resistors, and two large capacitors. Lastly, the plates measure 4¼” wide x 5?” high, not including upper and lower protruding lobes. They’re mounted from behind the rear panel so only the black center with terminals part is exposed. It requires a roughly 2?” x 3½” cutout if considering them for a speaker building project. So, if a crossover(s) on your NS-10M’s, or other suitable speakers, isn’t working well, has a broken input terminal(s), etc., you’ve found the right listing—these crossovers will have your cherished monitor speakers back in action! The sturdy seamed white paper cone is in perfect shape with no cracks, stains, or yellowing, and the voice coil dustcap is dimple-free perfect as pictured! Plus, the surround is permanent textile, factory-coated for extra strength and durability, instead of the fragile foam widely used by most companies in the 1980’s. And, the black anodized steel basket is in nice condition with no dings, scratches, or oxidation noted. YAMAHA soldered all driver connections, so I’ve left a few inches of the +/- wires attached to the terminals for the new owner’s convenience when splicing-in to their speaker. Overall, this capable YAMAHA woofer is exceptionally well-preserved!
