Offered for your consideration is a pair of YAMAHA two-way crossover networks removed from my NS-10M two-way monitor speakers. These crossovers were also used in the NS-615 and possibly other high-end YAMAHA two-way speakers. They were used to divide the JA-1801 7” woofers from the JA0518 1½” soft dome tweeters, both 8? nominal, at 2kHz. So, please see the large photos I’ve taken and read the remaining description to decide if these superb YAMAHA crossovers are correct for your needs. These YAMAHA NS-10M crossovers are in clean, excellent condition. There are no faceplate scratches, just a few tiny scuffs, and no cracks at the mount holes. Plus, the sturdy, steel reinforced +/- terminals have no issues and hold speaker cable very tight. As you may know, YAMAHA soldered all of the NS-10M driver connections, so I left a few inches of +/- wire attached to the woofer/tweeter terminals for the new owner’s convenience when splicing-in my replacement driver(s) to their speaker(s). Consequently, the woofer and tweeter wires are shorter than factory length on these crossovers and will need to be lengthened (or replaced) for use in NS-10M cabinets. Up for sale is a pre-owned pair of Yamaha NS-10T speakers. They are in great working condition. These little guys sound big for their size and the detail is impressive. Mids are nice and bass is decent. Pairing these with a good powered sub makes these really shine. They are excellent speakers, especially for near-field monitoring. When I got these speakers there was a crease through the top tweeter on one of them from what looked like a door was slammed against it. The crease pushed in the metal surround, speaker grill, and dust cap of the tweeter itself. I pulled it all out and did my best to put it back together without damaging the tweeter. The tweeter works fine and held up well. No issues with it other than it is not the prettiest thing to look at. Auction is for a pair of the Legendary Yamaha NS-1000M monitor speakers. If you are looking at these you will have some idea of the sheer quality of this design using Beryllium drive units. They are in very good condition on the top front and sides of the cabinets with only very minor wear. The bottom of the cabinets are marked from being used on the floor and with some spiked speakers stands (last two pictures). You can see this more closely in the pictures. They come with original grill covers, there is a tiny hole in one that can only be seen with the grill removed. The protective grills over the mid range have some very slight depressions that are not easily noticed but felt when gently handled. They will also come with the QED tri stands seen in the pictures. These are worth between £50 to £100. They are in near original condition, no scratches, flaking etc. In addition I have the original owner manual and sales brochures. The original terminals were replaced by the dealership to accommodate better quality cables. These are the only modification. I bought these from a Hi-Fi dealership around 20 years ago, trading in some of my other kit to put them with reach of my budget. I have looked after these and they still sound great. In my opinion they are at their best with Class A amplification. I have some other high quality speakers and these are possibly the best. Reluctantly, I am reducing my hi-fi collection as I no longer have the space to accommodate it. These must be collected from North Manchester M35 post code area and I will only take cash payment on collection.
