Stereo Unit dated 1999 made in China but Designed by Japan. This stereo is certainly working, I used it for years. There arent problems other than the CD Door does need a little manual push when it opens. It closes fine on its own. The heat sink has some dust and needs blowing with compressed air. I dont know the exact speaker match. I think I was using 4 ohms before. You may want to check how much heat is coming from the heat sink. These Yamaha speakers have Average Sound. I had this stereo hooked up to very nice Taiwanese speakers before and the sound was excellent. Yamaha speakers are 6 ohms based on internet research. Bookshelf Speakers are Yamaha NS-AP1600S. Speakers are working. Of course other speakers will work with stereo as well. These are not the original JVC Speakers and I do not have the originals.
