Offering this serviced, cleaned and tested vintage Yamaha CR-800 stereo receiver. Repaired some thermal issues on the power and main amp boards. Primary service: Replaced fusible resistors, known problematic transistors and electrolytic caps on the power board; known problematic transistors and several electrolytic caps on the main amp board. Replaced electrolytic caps on other boards. Replaced lamps. Thoroughly cleaned all switches, pots, RCA connections. Tested all inputs and outputs. This unit sounds amazing. It features 45 watts per channel, two phono inputs, two tape input/outputs and aux input. Also has pre amp out and main in for connection of other components such as an equalizer or a powered subwoofer. The cabinet has a couple of light scratches and a ding on the corner, otherwise in great condition. Here is a YAMAHA CT-800 Natural Sound Am/Fm Stereo tuner in very good condition. The tuner has been tested . All lights work and FM reception is excellent. Note that AM reception could not be tested because there is no longer service in my area.The front of the device is in excellent condition, almost perfect. Note that the cabinet is black, originally it should be brown. It appears to have been covered by the previous owner. There is a serial number engraved on the back of the device. All functions have been tested and work properly except for the level button which does not seem to work. I dont have the user manual and I cant test this function. Since the device is over 45 years old, some parts may need to be replaced later to achieve optimal quality. The buyer should be aware of this. Am and Fm antenna are not included.
