Yamaha HTR-5740 receiver from 2004, 85 watts per channel. Comes with aftermarket remote. Works perfect with no issues on any channels or inputs. See video link at bottom for actual unit in operation. I’m the original owner and this has powered many many gatherings. It’s been out of primary use for about 10 years now. Has digital optical and coax inputs. They need to be mapped and it’s not always an easy task to figure out. Has multiple Dolby Surround modes. The original remote had broken, so this is an aftermarket. There are some buttons that don’t do anything, and I can’t guarantee that every original remote button is present here but this is the one that I got off of Amazon a few years back. From what I can tell, it allows you to access all menus, but it can be a little bit tricky. Unit is clean, just some hairline scratches, and in my opinion in excellent condition. Very powerful, it’s 85 watts per channel and t seems like it’s a little bit louder than that. This is the last era of the most powerful receivers by Yamaha, in my opinion, compared to what is made today. I am an electronics hobbyist, and can confirm that Yamaha does an exceptional job with the engineering of their receivers. Especially from this model line, they all seem to last forever.
