This amplifier has just gone through an extensive rebuild. The amp was disassembled and thoroughly cleaned. All resistors, diodes and transistors were tested and replaced if they fell outside of specification. All the electrolytic capacitors were replaced including the filter capacitors, using Nichicon, Chemi-Con and Wima Capacitors. The larger capacitors were installed with PCB safe silicon to prevent movement during transportation thus eliminating potential shorts. The protection relay was replaced with a new Omron relay. All of the output transistors were tested for proper operation. The volume potentiometers were cleaned and lubricated and tested for correct ohm range. The solder joints for components that were not replaced or removed were re-soldered to eliminate any cold or cracked joints. The LED lights were tested for proper operation. The BIAS was set per the service manual and then monitored during the breaking period of the next 40 hours.
